1.Project Background Superiority
The resource of orchid is abundant. Red Bayberry Freshness-Keeping
and Comprehensive Development

1.Project Background and Advantage
Zhoushan late-rice arbutus, one of the four quality arbutus varieties in Zhejiang province, has been planted in Zhoushan for over 200 years. Its fruit is characterized by ball-like shape, bright black color, tender flesh, sweet-sour taste, juicy, fragrant and strong flavor, superior quality as well as a high edible ratio of over 95%. Over recent years the cultivation of the late-rice arbutus has received a vigorous support from the municipal government. The relevant technicians have been assigned to work out arbutus production and quality standards, and study on the fruit tree’s dwarfing cultivation and the fruit’s deep processing. Up to now some series products have been developed, such as arubutus wine, liquor-soaked arbutus, and candied arbutus, and a batch of pollution-free arbutus cultivation bases have been established. At present the arbutus’s cultivation acreage has reached 4000 hectares, about 670 hectares of which has entered the commercial production with a yearly fruit output of near 10000 tons. Because of the fruit’s short fresh-keeping period this project looks quite promising.

2.Project Contents
To fully utilize the rich local arbutus resources, it is planed to adopt advanced fruit freshness keeping technology, prolong its fresh-keeping period and develop deep processing of the fruit, targeted supplying 80 tons of fresh fruit and processing 300 tons of arbutus wine and 20 tons of arbutus snack foods per year.

The company’s Quanjin-brand arbutus wine has been warmly welcomed by customers since its entering into the market in 1998. The newly packed arbutus wine will be put into market very soon.

1.Background and Construction Condition
One kind of pickles named “hao cai” mainly produced in Qingqing Agriculture Co.Ltd, its inner wrapping products have entered many supermarkets in domestic cities, and also has 10 years history in Japan with a certain distribution channel there. To satisfy the market demand, the firm is planning to expand its scale, going on to develop multi-kind & high quality vegetables of inner wrapping and frozen vegetables.

It is composed of five sub projects --environmental vegetables plantation, pickle, freshness, refrigeration, and instant vegetable production . After completion of the project, it will produce 1000 ton fresh-insured vegetables for the local market, 800 ton pickle & 100 ton inner wrapping vegetables & 1000 ton frozen vegetable for overseas per year. 1.Background and Construction Condition
Though small, Putuo county Fodu Town has rich resources of shallow marine water and mudflat. With Liuheng Island, Chuanshan Island and Meishan Island as its natural defense to the east, west and north respectively, it is richly endowed by nature to develop the aquiculture. By the end of 2002, the cultured area of the town has been totally up to 3650 mu, including pond 1900 mu, shallow marine water 700 mu, mudflat 950 mu, and fresh water 100 mu. Under the great support of governments, the first stage project for mole of net cage culture base has been completed with the investment of 5.6 million Yuan (RMB). The second stage project, which calls for 8 million Yuan (RMB) has started and will be completed at the end of 2003. The annual output reached 2566 ton, yearly value of production reached 32.11 million, 66.2%of the gross product of industry, agriculture and fishery, and 80% of fishery. Now cultivating has become the support industry and new economic growth point.

The shallow marine water cultivating area of 2 square kilometers is the biggest net cage culture base in Zhoushan City .It can contain 18,000 net cages. Tao hua island is a marvelous island of east sea, which is depicted by《Shooting Vulture Hero Biography》and《Magical Vulture Chivalrous Fellow》written by Mr JinYong.
